Biography:

Wing & The Flight Risks is a blues-rooted, guitar-forward band born in the mountain shadows of Missoula, Montana. What started as a few ideas in a hot summer garage in 2023 became a place for stories, soul, and six strings to come together—loud, loose, and honest.

Led by Jacob Wing, a longtime producer, engineer, session player, and songwriter who finally stepped out from behind the scenes, the band is a blend of lived-in musicianship and a simple desire to make something real. In their words, “It’s music from a bunch of nobodies in the middle of nowhere—made for anyone who still believes in the kind of sound that rattles your chest and sticks in your bones.”

Influenced by legends like B.B. King, Freddie King, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, and Jimi Hendrix—alongside a modern edge from artists like John Mayer, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Marcus King, and even a little Foo Fighters grit—Wing & The Flight Risks don’t chase trends. They chase feel.

Their sound rolls between moody, atmospheric blues and guitar solos that fly just far enough to catch your breath. Jazz-influenced rhythms and classic tones sit right beside lyrics about life, love, and the kind of roads you only find by getting lost.
